Who is Aron for?
Aron is for people of any age who can't speak, or find speaking very hard. They tap a word, a phrase or a picture, and Aron says it out loud in Georgian.
Autistic children
Many children on the autism spectrum find spoken words hard, and some are nonverbal. With picture tiles and ready-made phrases, a child can say what they want, how they feel and what they need.
Cerebral palsy and Down syndrome
When moving the hands is hard as well as speaking, the tiles can be made bigger. On Android, the app can also be controlled with head movements, without touching the screen.
Stroke and aphasia
When speaking becomes hard after a stroke or an injury, Aron makes it easier to talk with family and doctors. It includes ready-made phrases for medical needs and an SOS button.
Parents, speech therapists and teachers
Aron was made by the company Elix, together with the clinics Helios and Phoenix. The board comes full of everyday words and phrases. Add your own words and photos as needed. Clinics and schools can get group licences.
